Easter Egg Hunt!

Our neighborhood did an Easter Egg Hunt this afternoon. To get ready Anna and I read Spot's First Easter a bunch of times today. She definitely got the idea and seemed to have a lot of fun!

Counting Sheep

As Grandma mentioned in a comment, Anna has really been talking up a storm lately. I can't keep track of all the words she knows, but what is really amazing is how she puts together sentences. It's so cute because you can see her thinking between words so she can put the sentence together. A lot of it I understand because of the context (I know "seer" means cereal when she's sitting at the breakfast table and I know "moss" is music when she is standing next to the ipod), but sometimes I have a little trouble understanding everything she is trying to tell me.

She loves to count. In fact, at her photo shoot on Saturday one way we got her to smile was to have her count. I'm pretty sure that first picture in the last post is from the counting part because she looks like she is holding her fingers up. Sometimes when she sitting in her car seat she just starts counting her fingers. She can count to 10, but I haven't caught it on video yet.

You may notice she is carrying around a toothbrush in the video. Brushing her animal's teeth and changing their diapers is her latest obsession. I bought her a new toothbrush so she could have her old one for her friends.

Hanging on the Baltimore Inner Harbor

Today we went to a restaurant called Bo Brooks on the Inner Harbor in Baltimore to celebrate our friend, Matt's 40th birthday. We all had a great time at the party - especially Anna who enjoyed:

the playdough available to play with

running around the dock with Mom and Dad

eating cake! (just finished her piece) and getting an Elmo sticker

Circus!

On Thursday night our neighbor offered Anna and I tickets to the circus for Friday morning. We were so excited! Friday morning we read about the circus in Richard Scary's Best Word Book Ever and I tried to tell Anna everything I remember from going to the circus - maybe only once or twice when I was little. Anna was mesmerized by the whole thing, but her favorite part by far was seeing the elephants! We had a great time!

Weekend in Philly

We spent this past weekend on an adventure in Philly. Mom had a conference to attend, but Anna, Dad, Grandma, and Grandpa had fun checking out the sights.

Everyone's favorite event was the Please Touch Museum:

shopping

checking out

playing in the duck pond

lunch at the museum

In the Swan Memorial Fountain (the water hasn't been turned on yet)

visiting the Philadelphia Zoo

riding the alligator on the zoo carousel

Goofing around in the hotel room:

dressed like twins!

Grandma and Grandpa visit!

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit on Wednesday and we all headed off to Philadelphia for the weekend on Friday. Pictures from Philly to come soon.

More soap?

Two nights ago Anna was washing her bear's hair in her kitchen sink when she got the idea that Mom and Dad might like some soap for their hands. She must have thought our hands were pretty dirty because she brought us each soap about 15 times:

I understand when she says, "more soap?", but I'm not sure what "das" is. Any ideas?

Cast off!

Anna got her cast off this morning and she is already walking around. The doctor said the x-ray taken today looked great!
