I apologize that our blog updates have been sparse this past month. We've been busy as we sold our townhouse and bought a new house. Unfortunately the cord that attaches my main camera to the computer is packed so I haven't had a chance to upload too many pictures. We'll be back in full swing after we move later in March. Until then, here are a few stories:
Last night Abby drank some juice quickly and it caused her to spit up a little on her "Bear Bear" (her favorite sleeping friend). I wiped him off and told her he would be fine. She looked right at him and said, "Don't be angry."
Although Abby & Anna enjoy watching a lot of short TV shows (Dora, Curious George, Diego, Sesame Street, Berenstain Bears), they haven't watched too many movies. Anna has seen the Curious George movie, "Follow That Monkey," the Sesame Street movie "Follow that Bird," and the Muppet movie that was in the theater this past year. This past week we showed the kids Toy Story. We watched a little bit of it after dinner each night and they really enjoyed it. It was cute to see how closely Anna followed the plot line. One night I actually caught them discussing the plot together in the tub after watching the show.
In the past few months Anna & Abby have become better and better friends. Except for the time Anna is in school and Abby is napping, they play together most of the time. They have lots of little games they like to play together: dance class, "food train," and school.
Abby has just learned to play a favorite game at our house: "George Games." This is similar to "Go Fish," but with Curious George characters on the cards. Anna got these cards a year ago (as a prize for peeing on a public toilet - ha!) and it has been the most used toy of the year. A year ago it was so cute to watch Anna learn how to play the game. Now it's adorable to watch Abby learn the card names and try to make matches.
I'll try to post some more stories in the next few weeks and we'll have new pictures soon!
