A Birthday visit to the farm!

Happy Birthday, Anna! During Anna's actual birth moment (11:54 am) she was busy looking at the baby pigs at Frying Pan Farm Park, where Anna, Nana, and I went this morning. Anna had a great time at the farm! She saw horses, cows, turkeys, peacocks, chickens, a bunny, a cat, pigs, goats, and sheep (or "sheeps" as Anna calls them). She also got to go on a wagon ride, sit on a small tractor, and play on some playground equipment. Her favorite part was watching 2 litters of piglets, born on March 12th and April 7th.

greeted by a horse when we first arrived

a peahen (name for a female peacock, which I didn't know until we got a lesson from Nana)

dairy cows - skinnier than beef cows, as we learned on our wagon ride

piglets from the March 12th litter

Happy Birthday, Anna!

On Tuesday Anna will be 2 years old! We had a great time celebrating over the past few days: first with her friends at Clemyjontri Park on Friday, then with her family, yesterday.

Anna spent the morning before her friend party wanting to stand on a chair and look at "Elmo Cake"

ready to celebrate at the park!

birthday dinner on Saturday (minus the photographer: Grandma)

then cupcakes!

Happy Birthday, Anna! Thank you for another wonderful year! We love you so very much :)

Picnic in the Park

On Saturday night we had a picnic dinner at Burke Lake Park, where Anna got to ride the train, run around, go on the slides, and watch some sunset kite-flyers! It was a little chilly, but we had a good time :)

New Survey

Well, it looks like a lot of people have been having trouble with the survey in the previous post. So here's the new survey: just comment to this blog post! Here's what we want to know:

Is it a girl or boy?

When will the baby be born? (due date is May 12th)

Use the pop up window to take our Baby Prediction Survey

We've heard that some people are not seeing the pop-up. In order to see the pop-up, turn your pop-up blocker off.

Some things never change

Anna still loves her tubby! Her new favorite kind of tubby is an "Elmo Tubby." This is simply a bubble bath, but the type of bubble bath we have has a picture of Elmo on the front - hence it's an Elmo Tubby!

Anna & Mom make the press!

We're famous! At least to the handful of people reading the Vienna Connection. I was interviewed this week for an article about our playgroup.
