Good-bye frogs and turtles

This week was Anna & Abby's last week of preschool for the year. And for Anna, today was her last day of preschool ever! It seems like just yesterday we dropped her off with tears in her eyes in the turtle class with Miss Cookie and Miss Brigitte only to pick her up 3 hours later and have her announce, "Tomorrow I think my teachers are going to be Miss Elmo and Miss Big Bird!"

Anna & Abby have both had a great year of preschool. This year Anna still took great joy in her craft each day. She also connected more with her classmates than ever before. She loved to recount her playground stories to us, which mostly consisted of playing "Scooby" with the other kids. Her favorite job this year was "question of the day" and "weather." Each week Anna studied a different letter and she enjoyed searching the house for something to share with the class that started with that letter. She loved her teachers, Mrs. Eagan and Mrs. Reichert, and we were sad to learn that they are both retiring this year.

Abby loved her year as well. Abby shared a lot of stories with us about her classmates, her snacks, special toys, and what they were learning about. She especially enjoyed her chapel class every Monday and often shared the story with us at home. She enjoyed dressing up in different colors for the color of the week. She also loved her art projects and loved to explain to us how she made them. She had a great year with Miss Cookie and Miss Brigitte and we were also sad to hear that Miss Brigitte is moving this summer as well. Good-bye to 3 great teachers at VPCP!
